Magazine comparison
This was my favourite task to do as i had plently of time to do it in, i liked researching different types of magazines and anaylising them , i liked how much detail and effort i could put into it as the deadline was quite relaxed as it was the first task. The dealines are getting closer together now which makes not every task as enjoyable and easy as this one.

This task was also quite simple as i did some research on questionnaires for magazines and it helped alot with the layout and wording of some of the questions and making sure they made sense.

Practise photos
This task was one of my favourites too as it was the first time we had been sent out to take photos , i really enjoyed the photogrphy part of it and getting the right setting ,angles and poses was fun. It was also really good practise for the type of shot's we're taking now for our final designs.

I've made a few changes to the magazine
This piece was easy to do after i made a few changes to my school magazine, i changed the picture and the name of the magazine as i didn't think that the name of the magazine was catchy enough.so i changed it to

Double Page Spread : Music Magazine

This is my double page spread flatplan for my music magazine , Antony Hegarty from 'Antony and the Johnsons' is posing behind a bush, i've only drawn parts of the bush behind him as it's meant to be quite dark but detailed and it would've take ages to draw small leaves around Antony.
He is wearing a white smock and has pink lipstick,this is quite a feminine and different for a man but it represents Antony as a unique and controversal artist, some people like his music and some people find it too strange and weird.
The set out of the page is quite basic for a double page spread with the intro underneath the main picture with a caption about the artist or band, the title is at the top usually starting on the top left hand corner. The interview starts underneath the caption and flows up onto the left hand side of the second page.

What are my influences?

Music Magazine Pictures.

This shot adds a comedy effect to it's musicality , using Rhy's head as a drum is different and wacky and
could catch someones eye.

If the mirror had no sections and was just one big window this would make a good shot as it's cheeky and amusing and shows alot of personality which is intreging for readers if their favourite band is on the front cover.

 lauren and Rhys are both looking at the cmera in this shot looking up which is quite a well known pose for some music magazines the way they are almost "hanging" on the hooks is chilled out and cool althought their faces portray a cheeky almost rebelious streak.

Rhys going "crazy" on the drums adds another comedy effect to a normal image of him plaing the drums
with his face and pose he's using the "rock'n'roll" image of drums and making it fun and silly and amusing for a reader.

Rosie (myself) coming out of the bushes like an animal portrays a wacky image/style.The facial expression is like an animal too in the 'grrr' mood but with a cheeky twist this could be appealing and intregeing for the reader.

This is quite an abstract shot as the two people are far apart yet sharing the same space..this has a friendly feel to it as we are both stretching out our arms and smiling which is inviting, i would take this from a bigger prespective if i were to improve it and make the contrast slightly higher or have the chairs in black and our outfits in a contrasting colour of either white or red.

Even though laurens pose is simple it's very bold and adds control to the picture as she is standing in front of the door with her arms across it.To improve the photo i would make sure you could only see her, a plain wall and a door. no ground or window.
