These are some photos that me and Taylor Armstrong took for sample shots for the front
cover of a school magazine.
There are some pictures that we were happy with, but others we thought could do with a bit more improvement on lighting, angle, pose, posture and expression.
This photo is good, but i would improve in my zooming in
and having his knee down so if the photo needed to be
cropped it wouldn't look peculiar.
This picture is a purposely imperfected image to show what is wrong with it. I'm not facing the camera , the pose is too informal and the backroud is too busy. Also it's chopping off my feet in the photo.
The pictures above are too informal to use and the backround is too complex but some aspects of the image like the contrast and our "happy expressions" are essential on the front of a magazine.
The image above is perfect for a magazine cover the colour, pose, angle and expression however there is one small fault beng that the picture could be cropped slightly to be less rectangluar.
These two pictures were both good candidates for the magazine cover but i thought another shot would be better to fit in text around the image as you usually see on magazines.
